There is a glaring need for fitness programs for youth in America. With obesity and obesity related diseases on the rise, the time to act is now. Kid Fit Foundation is dedicating its recources to providing oppurtunity and education to as many children as possible. Through generous donations from the public and fundraising, money is allocated to public school's physical education programs for equipment and education for the teachers so they can incorporate a successful literal fitness based program. Fitness based curriculum is based on the principle of mechanics, consistency and then eventually intensity. We encourage the emphasis of good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. We want teachers to be able to teach the fundamental movements of life in a fun and engaging environment. We want the focus to be on movements such as squat, push up, deadlifts, presses, running, pushing, pulling climbing- movements of everyday life. By giving children more strength, better agility, more accuracy and body awareness, children have the kinesthetic awareness to achieve better sports performance and have fewer sports injuries.
